Walk through the Aurachtal and discover the bucolic natural landscape. Get to know Herzogenaurach’s impressive surroundings on well-marked trails together with the entire family.
"Rund um den Dohnwald" Trail Circuit
A particularly beautiful trail takes you 6.5km through the Dohnwald (Dohn forest). Three old mills along the route invite you to linger and contemplate local charm. The trail is easy to reach on foot from the hotel.

Trail Circuit "Over Burgstall und Hauptendorf"
Anyone who loves to walk in the country, will find this trail just the thing. The trail leads through a total of 9.5 kilometers from Herzogenaurach towards Burgstall, where when there’s good weather you can catch a glimpse of the so-called Frankisch Switzerland. The trail then leads over Hauptendorf and again back to the hotel.

Walking Through the Steinbacher Forest
The approx. 8 km long trail leads from Herzogenaurach over the Weiherdamm towards a small patch of forest and the town of Döndörflein. Enjoy a deserved pause here and then continue wandering through the Steinbacher forest.
