Wooden Skis
These wooden skis were stored for many years in the Dassler family's basement. In the 1920s, these skis were very popular. Adi Dassler likely went down some slopes on these skis. In addition to alpine skiing, Adi also practiced ski jumping (which was still very basic at the time, not far from the hotel) and cross-country skiing. The picture shows Adi participating in skiing on his wooden skis.
Chairlift
This chairlift was purchased used and installed on the occasion of the 1978 Ski World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. When the construction of the new 4-person chairlift at Kreuzjoch in Garmisch-Partenkirchen began in 2009, this chair was decommissioned and dedicated to Super-G winner Christoph Gruber. The Kreuzjoch lift has always transported skiers to the start of the famous Kandahar descent, where World Cup races are still held today. Adi Dassler likely rode on this very chair, which was acquired in 2022. The picture shows Adi Dassler (left) and an unknown friend during one of their many ski tours.

This picture shows Adi Dassler skiing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1926 with a friend. Of course, everything had to be tested, which was difficult at the time due to limited resources. Adi would sometimes use his own kitchen table at home, removing two legs to build a ramp for his first ski jumping attempts at Gründla, not far from the hotel.
The picture below actually shows Adi performing ski jumps on a self-built ramp near the hotel.
